About these terms
These terms apply when you buy a package, call or project from me through this website or by email. By placing an order you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, please email me before ordering.
Packages and scope
Each package describes what's included, the delivery time and the number of revisions. Anything outside that description is extra work, which I'll always quote and agree with you before starting. Bespoke projects and monthly plans follow the scope we agree in writing.
Ordering
When you order, you share a short brief so I can start. I review every brief within one business day and let you know if I need anything else. If a request isn't something I can deliver well, I'll tell you and refund you in full.
Prices, VAT and payment
- Prices are in euros and exclude VAT.
- Malta VAT at 18% is added at checkout. Businesses in another EU country with a valid VAT number are not charged VAT, under the reverse charge rules. Clients outside the EU are not charged VAT.
- Payment is taken in full when you order, securely through PayPal by card or PayPal account. I never see or store your card details.
- A VAT invoice is sent to you by email.
- Monthly plans are paid monthly in advance.
Delivery
Delivery times are in business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) and start once I have your brief and any files I need. If something outside my control causes a delay, I'll tell you as soon as I know.
Revisions
Each package includes the number of revisions shown. A revision is a round of changes to the work delivered, within the original brief. A change of direction or new content counts as new work, which I'll quote first.
Calls
After paying for a call, you choose a time from my calendar. You can reschedule up to 24 hours before the call. Calls missed without notice can't be refunded or rebooked. The free welcome call offered with packages is 30 minutes.
What I need from you
- Accurate information, and your text, images and brand files on time.
- Permission to use everything you send me. You're responsible for having the rights to your materials.
- For website work, editor or collaborator access, and a current backup of your site. Please never send passwords by form or email.
Cancellations and refunds
- If you cancel before I start work, you receive a full refund.
- If you cancel after I've started, I'll refund the part of the package not yet delivered, less the work already completed.
- Completed and delivered work, and calls that have taken place, can't be refunded.
- Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've already paid for.
If you're buying as a consumer in the EU
You normally have 14 days to cancel a service contract. By ordering and asking me to start within that period, you agree that I can begin, that you'll pay for any work done before you cancel, and that the right to cancel ends once the service is fully delivered.
Ownership of the work
Once you've paid in full, you own the final files I deliver for you. Editable source files are included only where a package says so. I keep the right to show the work in my portfolio, unless you ask me in writing not to. Fonts, stock images and software stay subject to their own licences.
Results
I'll always give you my honest, best advice and work. Marketing results depend on many things outside my control, so I can't guarantee specific outcomes such as followers, rankings, enquiries or sales.
Liability
My total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. I'm not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, or for problems caused by third-party platforms you use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Privacy
How I handle your information is set out in my privacy policy.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. If you're a consumer, you keep any protections the law of your own country gives you. I may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page when you order is the one that applies.
